To work throughout the year to enhance the curb appeal of our property through landscaping and seasonal plantings.
2007 was a year primarily of maintenance due to the impact of building project activity. The battery controller for the sprinkling system was replaced. Ivy was removed from the front east bank. Shrubs and tress were pruned. Attention to the patio drainage problem was deferred due to costs (bids from $5,000 to $10,000). Any project would also have interfered with the building project. Drainage seemed to be better this year, however, in the late summer a crack in the pool wall caused water leakage, and the could be a contributing cause.
The replacement of pool furniture will take place in 2008. Because our 3-year contract with Willamette Landscaping is ending, we are in the process of asking for bids for the future.
